Connexions is the new national service that provides advice, guidance, support and personal development services for all 13 - 19 year olds. The Connexions Partnership Bedfordshire & Luton is a service, first and foremost, for young people - planned with young people and delivered alongside young people in order to give every young person the best start in life.

With 5 main sites, 9 satellite offices and over 250 employees and consultants, Connexions is faced with complex IT issues ranging from simple everyday helpdesk support to the maintenance of their custom made relational database, roaming notebook computers, thin-client environment and SBS server, to name but a few.

Cheeky Munkey provide first and third line support for 250 users across the 14 offices in Bedfordshire. The core system implemented by Cheeky Munkey comprises of 7 Dell servers running a combination of Windows Server 2003 and Small Business Server 2003. There are an additional 22 servers located in a remote location that are accessed via a secure VPN connection from two of the main offices as well as being accessed by RSA token using a Citrix client.

Recently Connexions have taken on board the Netintelligence Internet Monitoring product range provided by Cheeky Munkey to combat Internet abuse and to ensure that staff as well as students to whom this valuable service is provided are protected from unpalatable email and web sites. Using a combination of proven technology from Netintelligence and in house Cheeky Munkey expertise, this solution is ensuring that Connexions can focus on service provision to their users in a clean environment.
