England Hockey
England Hockey has been the National Governing Body (NGB) of the sport since December 2002 having succeeded the English Hockey Association (EHA) who had to suspend operations earlier in 2002 because of significant financial problems. The EHA had been formed in 1996 to unite the separate governing bodies for men’s, women’s and mixed hockey, the first two of which had been in existence for over 100 years.
With one main site, six satellite offices and over fifty employees and consultants, England Hockey was faced with complex IT issues ranging from simple everyday helpdesk support to the maintenance of their systems, roaming notebook computer, Blackberry server, handhelds and mobiles and SBS server. Time for someone to swing into action…..
First things first. The core system comprises of two Dell servers running a combination of Small Business Server 2003 and Blackberry Server. The an additional server located in the South office is used for additional file storage. This crucial infrastructure is totally supported by Cheeky Munkey, offering peace of mind to the directors and all levels of support for the multiple users across all seven offices.
But do we have a happy client?
“Cheeky Munkey have provided England Hockey with a cost effective and flexible IT support package for a number of years. They demonstrate a positive approach to our issues while always seeking to proactively prevent problems arising”.
Ian Wilson, Chief Finance & Administration Officer
